This weekend the England men’s national team will take to the pitch once again as they begin preparations ahead of their next venture in France next summer – England qualified for the 2024 European Championships following their Nations League Group A victory in July.
The Lions regroup for the first time since the Amp Futbol Cup over five weeks ago and with the squad having been set training plans across the duration of the break, they are set to be put through their paces this weekend.
Elsewhere, after a prolonged period on the sidelines, defender Sean Jackson is due to return to full contact training this weekend following a recurring ATFL injury and the Everton man can’t wait to get going.
"I’ve not been able to take part since January, so felt like I have just been counting down the days until we’re back together,” Jackson said.
"As I’ve said before, I’m fully aware I’m now in a position where I need to try and earn a spot in one of England's most successful squads. But at the end of the day, I’m just looking forward to playing football with my mates again, as simple as that sounds.
"I was introduced to Everton’s session - which was no contact but I absolutely loved it. I had a proper smile on my face after the session.
"I feel good though, with a good few months of rehab and professional support from R4P and the England physio, I’m itching at the bit for my return." Keep up to date across our social platforms to follow all of the weekend’s training camp action.
