The stage is set for the next round of IKO EAFL fixtures this weekend at Reaseheath College, The Home of Amputee Football.
Everton, Chelsea and Portsmouth put on three thrilling spectacles in the season’s opening weekend last month, with plenty of goals as the cameras broadcast the action live around the world.
Everton and Portsmouth are level at the top after game week one, with both teams battling for a draw in January. Everton benefitted from a late penalty that Rhyce Ramsden fired past Pompey goalkeeper, Thomas Atkinson.
Chelsea had very impressive first halves in their ties, showing defensive solidity and cohesion.
The Londoners led Everton and held Pompey to a draw at the break. Unfortunately both games eventually ended in defeat for Chelsea - but as their chemistry continues to build, they will be looking to get a result on Saturday.
Everton’s Rhyce Ramsden is currently The IKO EAFL top-goalscorer with three finishes to his name. Meanwhile Pompey’s Matt Dean and the Amputoffee’s David Tweed are hot on Ramsden’s heels with two goals each.
Portsmouth and Chelsea kick-off proceedings in-front of the cameras at 12.30pm on Saturday. Don’t miss any of the action, with all games streamed live on The EAFA Facebook and YouTube.
