The England Amputee Football Association are pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Rogers as England head coach on a permanent basis.
Rogers was appointed on an interim basis last December following the departure of Owen Coyle Jr, working closely with his backroom staff he and his team will now step up preparations beyond this summer’s Nations League.
The EAFA Committee said: “We are delighted to appoint Scott Rogers as Head Coach of The England Amputee Football Association National Team on a permanent basis.
“We believe Scott is the ideal candidate to continue taking the team forward beyond this year’s Nations League and towards the European Championships in 2024."
Rogers said: "It has been a real honour to lead the team from January.
"During this period the players and the staff have been outstanding and we are in a really good place going into the Nations League tournament.
"I am delighted to be offered the head coach role on a permanent basis and be given the opportunity to build on our success and prepare the team past the Nations League and into the European Championships in 2024.
"This is a really exciting time for EAFA and to be trusted to lead this talented team on a permanent basis is a real highlight of my coaching career."
