Roofing manufacturer IKO PLC has become the official headline sponsor of the England Amputee Football Association National Football League (EAFL). The deal will see the EAFL rebranded as the ‘IKO EAFL’ ahead of the 2024 season.
This momentous step will help to bring the EAFL season to your home and devices for the
first time, platforming domestic amputee football on the global stage and reaching fans
worldwide.
EAFA committee member, Owen Coyle Jr. said: “This sponsorship injects vital support into
the operations and continuation of the EAFL, a cornerstone platform for players across
England. By facilitating this league, IKO has helped to ensure a structured and competitive
environment for clubs and players to participate, develop their skills, and foster a sense of
camaraderie within their communities.
“Moreover, live broadcasting of the games, a first-time endeavour made possible by this
sponsorship, will amplify the sport narrative, showcasing the skill, dedication, and passion of the players, while also breaking barriers and raising awareness about inclusivity and dynamism of amputee football on a global scale.”
“In essence, this sponsorship empowers EAFA to nurture homegrown talent through the
EAFL while simultaneously propelling the sport onto the international stage, marking a
transformative moment in the trajectory of amputee football's visibility and growth.”
The EAFL is an important part of the amputee football calendar and the IKO sponsorship
provides funding for new kit and equipment, as well as live-streaming matches, and
showcases IKO’s commitment to important social and community projects.

IKO PLC has more than 140 years experience of in UK manufacturing and is a market leader
in the design and manufacture of roofing, waterproofing and insulation systems, also
producing an expanding highway maintenance range.
For almost 20 years, IKO has run a successful Fix That Hut scheme, donating
waterproofing materials to repair roofs of buildings such as village halls and scout huts, to
preserve and restore special meeting places to the benefit of future generations.
IKO’s partnership with the EAFA will ensure a consistent fixture list in 2024, as clubs such as
Everton, Chelsea and Portsmouth will once again compete for silverware in what is
promising to be the league’s biggest season yet.
Like The EAFA, IKO is known across its industry for pushing for meaningful change, with an aim to always operate with integrity, honesty and humility.
This makes IKO a perfect partner with the EAFA, as these values are also mirrored
throughout the charity.
“People sit at the heart of everything we do at IKO and we always strive to positively impact
the communities that we work and live in,” said Anthony Carlyle, Group Managing Director at IKO.
“We are delighted to have partnered up with EAFA which, like IKO, has inclusivity and
protecting what matters at its core. Its members invest so much time and effort into pursuing
their passion, providing teammates with a safe and supportive place in which to socialise
and play their beloved sport.”
“IKO is honoured to be able to help EAFA to continue its invaluable work and we look
forward to cheering the teams on in what we hope will be a fantastic 2024.”
The 2024 IKO EAFL season will get underway on January 27 at Reaseheath College,
